I know the monarch populations has already flown the coop or migrated to Mexico, but I’d like to bring this species to our attention. The Monarch is very important to our ecosystem and maintenance as pollinators.

Right now the Monarch is fading into non existence.

I’m going to try this spring to grow my own milkweed to attract Monarchs. Milkweed is a perennial plant needed for the Monarch to survive. Milkweed was very common in the Midwest but even that has become scarce do to the destruction of land habitat by man/woman. http://monarchwatch.org/milkweed/index.htm

Maybe we all should just do our share in trying to save this important species. minimonmonarch

  1. Thank you for posting this, Janice. My husband is now also interested and is looking for seeds to start some plants indoors.
